The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) is a professional organization for CPAs in the United States.

It sets ethical standards for the profession, provides continuing education and resources for CPAs, and advocates for the profession at the state and federal levels.

The AICPA also develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination, which is required for licensure as a CPA in all U.S. states.
